Natural Childbirth and Sibling Preparation
Weekend 2-day series for 2nd and 3rd time expectant parents
Offered through The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center (all families welcome!)

This workshop is designed to refresh and support 2nd and 3rd time expectant parents as they make the transition into being a larger family. This class prepares, supports and resources parents to give birth naturally to another child while preparing the family for the entry of a new sibling.

This workshop will cover the following:
-Refresher in natural childbirth regardless of how and where you previously birthed -Decompression for your last birth experience (moving past the last experience)
-Sibling transitions and rivalry (will include some time with the kids in class)
-Supporting yourself and your kids in the post partum period
-Healthy habits for the whole family
-The changing dynamics of your partnership (supporting yourself as a couple)
-Sexuality and Contraception
-Tandem nursing and lactation refresher
-Supporting your new family through community (create your own parent & me groups)

This workshop is a two day workshop. The first 4 hour day, if your children are older than 1 year old, please try to find childcare for them. The second 4 hour day, you are encouraged to bring your children as this class will be as much for them as it is for you and your partner. If you are unable to find childcare, please let us know so that we might be able to support you.
